Welcome and thank you for visiting the Prince William Clean Community Council website. The purpose of our website is to provide useful information and ideas on how to keep Prince William County clean, safe and beautiful. It is our belief that it takes the involvement of everyone to keep our neighborhoods, shopping centers, schools and places of business clean and litter free. This includes residents, visitors, business owners, property managers, haulers, builders – everyone. To accomplish this you and I must do our part. I would like to challenge you to do your part by starting at home and in your community. Please join me and others by participating in one or more of our volunteer programs. Our programs are designed to provide volunteer opportunities for individuals, groups, youth, families and communities. Most of our programs require minimum time requirements and can be done at the convenience of the individual or group. Graffiti is becoming a growing problem in the county. Our “Graffiti Spotters” program was established to keep our communities free of graffiti. Participants simply call the Prince William County police when graffiti is sighted and afterwards contact this office. Our office will contact the property owner about removal and provide free graffiti remover to residents. As a graffiti spotter you would follow up by letting us know if and when the graffiti was removed. Now that’s an easy one, right? So, please be sure to look at the different programs describe on the website and decide which appeals to you and will fit into your schedule. Think about how you can involve your family members, friends and neighbors too. Please feel free to give us a call at 703-792-6272 or email me directly at [ email ] if you have any questions or ideas that you wish to share with us. Let me know what you think about the website and if you have suggestions by all means share them with me. Thank you again for visiting our website, we hope the information is helpful to you. I sincerely hope that we will become partners in this effort to keep Prince William County clean, safe and beautiful. Sincerely,
Brenda Evans |
