Prince William Clean Community Council has been successful in its litter prevention and education due to its ability to partner with civic groups, businesses and citizens in Prince William County with the goal of keeping our county clean, safe and livable. The efforts of the Council’s hundreds of volunteers were celebrated at the afternoon cookout. Congressman Gerald E. Connolly (VA-11) recognized the Council and Ms. Moser in the Congressional Record. He attended the cookout to present the recognition to Ms. Moser and stuck around to talk to volunteers about topics ranging from graffiti abatement to health care reform. “I wholeheartedly support the Council’s mission. It’s volunteers are dedicated to sustaining the high quality of life we have in Prince William County, and Connie’s work is a testament to that dedication,” said Connolly. Connolly’s Congressional Record statement noted, “The Clean Community Council asks Prince William residents to take pride in their county and work to eliminate not just litter and graffiti but the carelessness that allows these community plagues to proliferate. I ask my colleagues to join me in recognizing the successes of the Prince William Clean Community Council as well as congratulating Connie Moser on being named the recipient of the 1st Annual Volunteer of the Year Award.” |
